A Baule female sculpture, Ivory Coast, posted circular base, seated on a stool, the delicate feet and elongated toes supporting her legs leading to rounded hips, a slender torso with conical-shaped breast and rounded shoulders, arms angled forward with her slender hands resting on her knees, an elongated ringed neck supporting a round head, a pouted mouth beneath a small nose framed by small downturned eyes, small scarifications on the cheeks, and capped by a striated four-part coiffure; the whole figure is covered with scarification patterns of varied geometric motifs; dark brown encrusted patina, signs of use and cracks along the torso and base.
