A Baule mask from Ivory Coast with, a rounded shaped head, pointed mouth in a kissing shape, a thin elongated nose splitting into two eyebrows, overarching smiling slit eyes, two horn like goatees, scarifications on the sides of the cheeks, temples and around the forehead; elaborate coiffure with a main one crested in the center; the face of the mask is carved on top of a round wooden base; encrusted patina that is chipped off in some areas, signs of ritual use.
