A Kran mask, Ivory Coast ?, of oval shape, the face plan is flat, inlayed with cowrie shells, two hollow holes in the center to suggest the eyes, from the bottom of the mask to its middle is jousting a prominent conical beak or jaw, with a rounded hollow opening at its end, the rims of the mask are punctures with attachment holes; thick encrusted patina, signs of ritual use, a thin crack on the right side of the beak.
