A Senufo helmet mask, collected in border district Ivory Coast/Mali, influenced by the Bamana, with simplistic features, squared mouth, short nose with small carvings to signify nostrils, small holes for the eyes and thin carved eyebrows; metal attached to the center of the forehead, cheeks, and as part of the coiffure leading to a small dome at the top of the head. Thick encrusted patina, signs of ritual use. Certificate of origin and provenance.
