A male Baule/Yaure elephant-mask, Ivory Coast, of hollow oval form, with an elongated trunk, framed by curved tusks, almond shaped slit-eyes, pierced through at the rim for attachment; natural brownish surface, traces of age and ritual use, incl. stand, provenance Amadou Bouaflé. This male mask forms a pair with another excellent female Baule/Yaure elephant-mask.
